The only other possible resource I know of that could help is the detailed aerial photos that NOAA takes shortly after a hurricane hits. They have some photos of your area from after Gustav at ngs.woc.noaa.gov/gustav. They have not published any post Ike photos yet and I expect they will concentrate on the Texas coast. You might watch this page for Ike photos: ngs.woc.noaa.gov. Good luck.

Earl, Thanks for the info. Only way to find out if my son's SUV is still there is to drive down after the road opens and see for ourselves.
